“ I can't believe that I didn't write a review for this location. This is the first restaurant that we visited during our trip to Chicago. I would say as far as the ambiance, they have the typical modern flare with the flower walls, neon signs, etc. It's very cute and trendy if that is the vibe that you are looking for. On to the food experience. We started out with a variety of appetizers. We had the Fried Green Tomatoes, Fried Salmon bites,Dream Eggs w/ Blackened Shrimp, and Cajun Crab Cakes. They were all delicious. I definitely recommend trying them. For my entree, I had the catfish and grits. It was delicious! The fish was seasoned so good. I also had a side of greens and lobster mac and cheese. The service was great! We enjoyed our experience even with us having a big group. They made sure we were taken care of and they were very attentive. Loved it! This is definitely one to try if you are in the area! ”

“ Absolutely beautiful inside. The place is filled with warm lighting and walls of deep red roses. It felt so romantic. The place is very busy, but it doesn't feel busy. You are checked up on on a regular. This guy in a blue suit walked around interacting with customers and checking up on you -- I felt like I was attending a classy event/party taking place in a restaurant. Highly recommend getting a reservation. If you don't have one, likely you will sit at the bar! Side of Mac and cheese: 9/10 really yummy. Has good texture, flavor, and amount of cheese. Would be 10/10 but the price is taxing Side of yams: 8/10. Again the price was taxing. But it was tender and sweet. It is a bit oilier than I'd want it to be tho (the syrup wasn't that sweet -- just felt oily but nothing too bad) Blackened salmon: 10/10 so good! Comes with the salad. Perfect blend of protein and carbs. Didn't feel too heavy. I don't usually finished my meals, but this pairing was light enough for me to finish before heading out to our tourist things. The croutons have this nice sweet kick to it and it added soooo much to the taste of everything. Smores espresso martini: 9/10. Love the idea (might even steal it for a holiday party). The caramel sauce on the rims is definitely *chefs kiss*. I will say, the bar was very busy and the wait time for you drink can be a little long (no shade to the bartenders tho, they were very busy when we got in) If I'm ever back in Chicago, might just have to take a stop here again :) ”

“ We were a party of 4 on a Friday night 6:00 pm and we had reservations. This place had a vibe from the food to the music to the people. If you want to be seen, people watch and enjoy good food this is the place for you. We ordered the catfish, fried chicken, hot chicken, gumbo, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, candied yams and more....everything was delicious but the mashed potatoes had way too much salt. The fish was fresh and well seasoned and the fried chicken was spot on. We tried the peach cobbler it way yummy and not overly sweet. They have valet parking only $17 bucks. If you're on a budget this is not the place for you. Everything is A' la cart so your bill will be pricey. Our bill was $397 for 4 people. Overall great food, good vibes and beautiful decor. ”
